Panagiota Tsakiri ( Greek Παναγιώτα Τσακίρη , born May 12, 1990 in Drama ) is a Greek biathlete and cross-country skier .

Panagiota Tsakiri is a student. She lives and trains in drama. Tsakiri starts for EOS Dramas and is trained by Athanassios Tsakiris , her father. She has been practicing biathlon since 2004 and has been a member of the national team in her home country since 2005. The Greek made her debut in Obertilliach in 2006 in the Junior European Cup. Since 2007 she started with the seniors in the Biathlon European Cup . The best result so far is a 12th place in Bansko's sprint in the 2006/07 season . In 2009 she appeared in Canmore for the first time at a Junior European Championship. In the sprint she was 36th, in pursuit and singles 37th. Then she was nominated for the Biathlon European Championships 2009 in Pyeongchang , where she was used in two races. She was 106th in the individual and 102nd in the sprint.

Tsakiri has competed in cross-country skiing since 2005. The Greek has not competed in cross-country world cup races so far, she has appeared in FIS races, in the Alpine and Balkan Cup. The greatest success in this sport so far was participation in the 2006 Winter Olympics . At the Games of Turin she competed in the sprint and was 66. At the Greek Championships in 2007 in Mavrovo , Tsakiri missed out on fourth place over 10 and 5 kilometers each just under a medal. At the Junior World Championships of the year in Tarvisio she came in 73rd place. The 2008 Greek Championships in Metsovo were successful . In the 15-kilometer race she won the title, in the sprint she only had to admit defeat to the Russian guest starter Lyudmilla Kolischkina .

Tsakiri and her father received an entry in the Guinness Book of Records in February 2010. For the first time, a father and his daughter took part in the same Olympic Games. Panagiota Tsakiri finished 86th in the sprint and 85th in the individual. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she reached the 84th place over 10 km freestyle. She finished 64th in the sprint at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .
