The FIFA 100 is a list of the world-renowned Brazilian striker Pelé's choice of the "greatest living footballers". Unveiled on March 4, 2004 at a gala ceremony in London, the FIFA 100 marked part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body of football.

Cariba Eliza Heine (born October 1, 1988 in South Africa) is an Australian actress, best known for portraying the role of Rikki Chadwick in the Network Ten, Nickelodeon UK and Nickelodeon show H2O: Just Add Water starring alongside Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt.
The figure 100 refers to the 100th anniversary of FIFA and not the number of players listed, which is actually 125; Pelé had been asked to select 50 active players and 50 retired players, for a total of 100 players, but found it too difficult to limit the number of former players to just 50.

</ref> The list contains 123 professional men and 2 women players. At the time the FIFA 100 was selected, 50 of the players were still active, with the remaining 75 retired from the game.

Criticism
Some football observers have questioned the selection methodology of the list. David Mellor, former politician turned football pundit, wrote in his column in the Evening Standard, that he felt the selections were politically motivated rather than made on purely footballing grounds. He suggested that the selections looked as if they came from the pen of Sepp Blatter rather than Pelé. As evidence for this, Mellor noted the wide geographical spread of the selected players: a true selection would be more heavily biased to South America and Europe, he claimed. (The list contains the names of 7 players from Asia and Africa, for example.) Such assertions were also forwarded by BBC columnist Tim Vickery.<ref>{{cite news

Quotes

 • When she was asked who does she wants to work with, Cariba said: "I'd love to work with Natalie Portman or Cate Blanchett, I have such enormous respect for them both. There's a heap of Australian actors I'd love to work with as well."[4]
 • When she was asked what's the best thing about playing Rikki, she answered: "Rikki's just a lot of fun to play, she's got the little 1 liners and it's always fun to be sarcastic! She's also quite complex which makes her interesting for me."[5]
 • When she was asked what are the similarities between her and Rikki, Cariba answered: "I think Rikki and I are both pretty honest as people, though I'm not as blunt as her. She can be a little harsh sometimes! Other than that, we both like to observe people before we decide if we like them or not though Rikki has a huge wall to break through before she'll call you a friend."[6]
 • When she was asked is she and the cast are really close, she said: "We were all really lucky to have moved to the Gold Coast to film H2O because it meant that we all had each other to hang out with on the weekends and luckily we all got along! I'm actually sharing a house in Sydney now with Angus (McLaren), Burgess (Abernethy) and Jamie (Timony) who play Lewis, Zane and Nate, they're such fun boys!
 • currently, cariba moved out of the house where she shares a house with the 3 boys- and is currently living with Kain O'Keefe and her brother."[7]
