Mehmed Talat was the interior minister who ordered the arrest of Armenian leaders with a order on April 24, 1915 and sent a request for the Tehcir Law on May 29 1915, which initiated large scale genocide of the Ottoman Armenians.
He is reported to have said "Kill every Armenian man, woman, and child without concern for anything" a quote from the "Andonian Telegrams".

Early life
Characters
Main Characters
Mehmed Talat born in 1874 in Kırcaali town of Edirne Province from a family of junior civil servant working for the Ottoman Empire. His father was from a village in the mountainous south-eastern corner of present day Bulgaria. He had powerful build and a dark complexion . His manners were bluff, which caused him to leave the civil preparatory school without a certificate after a conflict with his teacher. Without earning the degree, he joined the staff of the telegraph company as a postal clerk in Edirne. His salary was not high, so he worked after hours as a Turkish language teacher in the Alliance Israelite School which served the Jewish community of Edirne.
* Dan Kuso: Dan is a 12 year old boy,who is a player of Bakugan. He loves to play it. Dan is in a group called the Bakugan Battle Brawlers.Dan loves loin tips. He is somewhat short-tempered. He and Shun are the creators of the Bakugan game. His Guardian Bakugan is the Pyrus-attribute Dragonoid (nicknamed Drago). Dan is crazy about Runo, but will never admit it, Until Dan and Runo go on a date. Dan's battle style usaly involves some kind of strategy.

* Runo Misaki: At the age of 12, Runo is not your typical pre-teen girl. Runo is a tomboy through and through who loves playing Bakugan with people that have skills to show off. Like Dan, she has a short temper and gets angry when she loses a battle. Runo has a crush on Dan but she wouldn't admit it and is jealous of Julie taking Dan's attention.Runo also loves liver kabobs. At the end of the series, Runo is seen with Dan on a date going to the movies. In battle, she uses light attributes. Her Guardian Bakugan is the Haos-attribute Tigrerra, who is very obedient to her master and powerful in battle.Runo hates when people think that just because she is a girl, they can beat her.
At the age of 21 he had a love affair with the daughter of the Jewish headmaster he worked for. He was caught sending a telegram saying "Things are going well. I'll soon reach my goal." With two of his friends of the post office, he was charged with tampering with the official telegraph and arrested in 1893. He claimed that the message in question was to his girl-friend. The Jewish girl came forward to defend him. Sentenced to two years of jail, he was pardoned but exiled to Salonica as a postal clerk.

* Marucho Marokuro: He is a wealthy, 11 year old who is generous. He is what you could call a walking encyclopidea. He is Dan's side kick and loves to play bakugan and work on stratagies. He used to be extremely obedient to his parents out of fear, but that changed when he met the Brawlers. He now has no regrets for the past, realizing that he only wanted to make his parents happy. His Guardian Bakugan are the Aquos-attribute Preyas and the Haos Angelo/Pyrus Diablo Preyas. Preyas was sent to the Doom Dimension in Marucho's battle with Klaus Von Hertzon. Later Klaus shows up with Preyus. Dan and Runo find a way to get Preyas back through defeating him in battle. Preyas evolves into a two-sided Bakugan called Preyas Angelo (Haos) and Preyas Diablo (Pyrus). Unlike the other Bakugan however, Preyas multiplies when he evolves, so Marucho got to keep the old Preyas.
Between 1898 and 1908 he served as a postman, on the staff of the Salonica Post Office. Eventually, having served 10 years at this postal unit, he became the Head of Salonica Post Office.

* Julie Makimoto: She lives near Bakugan Valley. She's 12 years old and is in love with Dan of the Battle Brawlers and tries to stay happy even when the worst has happened (for example, when Billy ended up under the control of Masquerade), her acting happy after something terrible happened is generally just to cover up her real feelings. Julie can also forget things easily, proving that she is a little scatterbrained at times. She is always up and happy with a positive attitude. At the beginning of the series, she is shown to have a crush on Dan (which led to some arguments with a jealous Runo), but later, she likes Billy and accepts a date offer from him. Julie has a sister named Daisy who has bested her in everything since she was a child. Her Guardian Bakugan is Subterra-attribute Gorem.
Young Turk Revolution
In 1908, he was dismissed for membership in the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP), the conspiratorial nucleus of the Young Turk movement. After the Young Turk Revolution of 1908, however, he became deputy of Edirne in the Ottoman Parliament, and in July 1909, he was appointed Minister of Interior Affairs. He became Minister of Post and then the Secretary-General of the CUP in 1912.

* Shun Kazami: He is a strong, silent, cool type 13-year-old. He is the former 1st ranked Bakugan player. He is a master of Bakugan, and also is Dan's childhood friend. Shun is a loner, a boy of very few words, yet is willing to help his friends at every turn. He approaches the game like a ninja. He lives with his grandfather (who used to be a famous ninja warrior) who once expected Shun to follow in his footsteps instead of playing Bakugan. His Guardian Bakugan is the Ventus-attribute Skyress whom Shun received from his comatose mother.
After the assassination of the Prime Minister Mahmud Sevket Pasa in July 1913, Talat Pasha once again became Minister of Interior Affairs. Talat, along with Enver Pasha and Djemal Pasha formed a group called the Three Pashas. These men formed the triumvirate of the Ottoman government until the end of war in October, 1918.

* Alice Gehabich: She is a 14-year-old-girl and, the princess of Bakugan from Moscow who doesn't play Bakugan. Michael Gehabich is her grandfather, but after learning that her grandfather became Hal-G and works with Naga, she constantly worried about him. Alice usually just gives advice to the brawlers, instead of battling. Alice and Marucho are the 2 brawlers who mostly use strategy. Although unlike Marucho, Alice gives her strategies to the brawlers. During season 2 she left the Brawlers after finding out that she was Masquerade out of intense guilt over what she did as him, but later returns in time to save Dan and Drago. Alice has a special ability to talk to people when she's not with them. Her Guardian Bakugan is the Darkus-attribute Hydranoid.
The Armenian Genocide
Armenian Genocide

* Masquerade: He used to be the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world, before he left Alice's body. His goal is to send all Bakugan to the Doom Dimension (the most feared place by all Bakugan) with his Doom Card, so he may evolve his Hydranoid and have the Ultimate Bakugan. He is revealed to be Alice in episode 38 and 39. Masquerade came to be when negative energy changed Alice. Alice's Grandfather was also affected by the negative energy and he was changed into Hal-G. He battles with Dan in episode 38 and loses. Masquerade disappears from Alice's body. She is really Masquerade.
On April 24 1915, Talat issued an order to close all Armenian political organisations operating within the Ottoman Empire and arrest Armenians connected to them, justifying the action by stating that the organisations were controlled from outside the empire, were inciting upheavals behind the Ottoman lines, and were cooperating with Russian forces. Thie order resulted in the arrest on the night of 24/25 April 1915 of between 235 to 270 Armenian community leaders in Constantinople, including politicians, clergymen, physicians, authors, journalists, lawyers, and teachers. Although mass killings of Armenian civilians had begun in the Van vilayet several weeks earlier, these mass-arrests in Constantinople are considered by many commentators to be the start of the Armenian Genocide.

* Joe Brown: He is a 12-year-old boy also known as "Webmaster Joe" who created the Bakugan website. The Brawlers first thought that Joe was working with Masquerade, but it turns out that Joe sent a message to all of the Bakugan Brawlers in the chat room about Masquerade and becomes one of the Brawlers. He lives with his mother and soon moves to the Brawlers' neighborhood. Chan Lee seems to have a crush on Joe, whose feelings are revealed in the last episode. His Guardian Bakugan is Wavern, Naga's sister and guardian of the infinity core.
Talat also issued the order for the Tehcir Law of June 1 1915 to February 8 1916 that allowed for the mass-deportation of Armenians, which academics define as the vehicle of the Armenian Genocide.

* Hal-G: The loyal servant of Naga. He used to be a famous scientist named Michael Gehabich, who mysteriously disappeared. He once studied Vestroia until an accident happened, and negative energy filled into his lab, causing him to turn into Hal-G. Alice went to his lab for a visit, and the negative energy turned her into Masquerade. Hal-G created a dimension transporter. His Guardian Bakugan is his boss Naga.
Talat, as minister of the interior, bears much of the responsibility for the deportation of the Armenians from the empire's eastern provinces to Syria. Most historians blame him for the barbarity of the operation and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Although Talat was the minister of the interior, many historians argue that Enver Pasha deserves equal blame for the extermination of the Armenians.
He is reported to have said the following to Ambassador Henry Morgenthau, Sr. in Ambassador Morgenthau's Story

Secondary Characters
* Klaus Van Hertzon: An Aquos attribute Bakugan player. He was the 2nd place Bakugan Brawler in the world when he and the other top Bakugan Brawlers were placed under the control of Masquerade. It is said that he is wealthier than Marucho since Klaus lives in a castle. Klaus sent Marucho's Preyas to the Doom Dimension, but Preyas somehow returns in Klaus' possession. Later when he, Chan-Lee, and Julio were defeated by Dan, Runo, and Marucho, he gave Marucho's Preyas back and moved down to 4th place after he was defeated by Masquerade. For most of the second season he does not feature until closer to the end when Alice stumbles across his castle where she confesses that she was Masquerade. Immediately, he challenges her to a battle at first for revenge but in the end to remind her why she was a Brawler in the first place. In episode 50, Joe asks him if he had a crush on Alice but he replies that unlike Joe, he is a true gentleman. His Guardian Bakugan is the Aquos-attribute Sirenoid.

* Chan-Lee: The 3rd Ranked Bakugan Brawler in the world who ended up under the control of Masquerade. She uses Pyrus Bakugans in battles. She alongside Klaus, and Julio battled Dan, Marucho, and Runo, but they were defeated. She later moves down to 5th place after she was defeated by Masquerade. She has a crush on Joe and at the end of the second series when Dan is on his date with Runo, her and Joe can be seen together in the background. Her Guardian Bakugan is the Pyrus-attribute Fortress.
Grand vizier, 1917
In 1917, Talat became the grand vizier, but he was unable to reverse the downward spiral of Ottoman fortunes in his new position.

* Julio Santana: The 4th Ranked Haos attribute Bakugan Brawler. He ended up under the control of Masquerade along with Billy, Komba, Chan Lee, and Klaus. He later moves down to 9th place after Masquerade defeated him. His Guardian Bakugan is the Haos- attribute Tentaclear.
Over the next year, Jerusalem and Baghdad were lost and in October 1918, the British shattered both Ottoman armies they faced. With defeat certain, Talat resigned on October 14, 1918.

* Komba O'Charlie: 5th Ranked Bakugan Brawler in the world. He ended up under the control of Masquerade. He and Billy once battled with Shun and Julie and they lost. He then had a rematch with Shun and loses again, but after this, he tries to make Shun his teacher. He later moves down to 10th place after he was defeated by Masquerade. His Guardian Bakugan is the Ventus-attribute Harpus who seems to be annoyed by Shun's Skyress at first, but get along after they both defeat one of Naga's most powerful guards.
Exile 1919 - 1921
Talat Pasha fled the Ottoman capital in a German submarine on 3 November 1918, from Istanbul harbour to Berlin. Just a week later the Porte capitulated to the Allies and signed the Armistice of Mudros.

* Billy Gilbert: He is a childhood friend of Julie and 10th Ranked Bakugan Brawler in the world. He battled Julie and won but later on, he battled her again and lost. He then ended up under the control of Masquerade and lost two more times. He later moves down to 11th place after Masquerade defeated him. Near the end of the series, he and Julie start going out. His Guardian Bakugan is the Subterra-attribute Cycloid.

With the occupation of Istanbul Izzet Pasha resigned. Tevfik Pasha took the position of Grand Vizir the same day that British ships entered the Golden Horn. Tevfik Pasha lasted until 4 March 1919, replaced by Ferid Pasha whose first order was the arrest of leading members of the CUP.

* Christopher: He is a 7 year old Bakugan player that was forced to battle everyday by Travis and he always lost. When Alice has meets with him she then decides to coach him on how to win at Bakugan. He finally battled Travis and won with Alice's help. His Guardian Bakugan is the Aquos-attribute Juggernoid.

Following the occupation of Istanbul by the Allied Powers, the British exerted pressure on the Sublime Porte and brought to trial the Turkish leaders who had held positions of responsibility between 1914 and 1918, for having committed, among other charges, an 'Armenian Massacre, the ones who were caught were put under arrest at the Bekiraga division and subsequently exiled to Malta under the name of Malta exiles. The courts-martial were designed by Sultan Mehmed VI to punish the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP) for the Empire's ill-conceived involvement in World War I. The Pashas who had held the highest positions in the administration and whose names were at the top of the execution lists of the Armenian assassination teams could be condemned in absentia because they had gone abroad.

* Travis: A nasty 12 year old Bakugan player that forced Christopher to battle him every day and always lost. When Christopher started being coached by Alice, he battled Travis again and lost. After that, Travis wasn't nasty to Christopher anymore and asked to battle again one day. Travis battles with Darkus attributed Bakugan. His Guardian Bakugan is most likely Warrius.
By January 1919, a report to Sultan Mehmed VI accused over 130 suspects, most of whom were high officials, including Talat. The courts announced that "In accordance with the stipulations of the Law the death penalty against Talat, Enver, Cemal, and Dr. Nazim".

* Jenny and Jewels: They are two pop stars who use Subterra and Aquos Bakugan. They are also Marucho's idols going by the name JJ Dolls when he is with them.
However, the British were determined not to leave Talat alone. The British had intelligence reports indicating that he had gone to Germany, and the British High Commissioner pressured Damad Ferit Pasha and the Sublime Porte to demand from Germany to return to Ottoman Empire. As a result of efforts pursued personally by (Sir) Andrew Ryan, a former Dragoman and now a member of the British intelligence service, Germany responded to Ottoman Empire stating that it was willing to be helpful if official papers could be produced showing these persons had been found guilty, and added that the presence of these persons in Germany could not as yet be ascertained<ref>Oke, Mim Kemal: The Armenian question 1914-1923. ==The Different Types Of Bakugan==
These meetings corroborated earlier intelligence to the effect that Talat Pasha was seeking support from Muslim countries to form a serious opposition movement against the Allied Powers, and that he was soon intending to take refuge in Ankara, which Turkish national movement was forming. Furthermore, Talat Pasha also dared to make the threat that he was going to incite the Pan-Turanist and Pan-Islamist movements against England, unless she signed a peace treaty favorable for Turkey.
This is a list of Bakugan that appear in the game. The Bakugans with the bold are currently available at stores, italic ones are of unconfirmed release. Each of the known Bakugan has their own Ability Card.

Before the assassination, the British intelligence services identified Talat in Stockholm where he had gone for a few days. The British intelligence first planned to apprehend him in Berlin where he was planning to return, but then changed its mind because it feared the complications this would create in Germany. Another view in the British intelligence was that Talat should be apprehended by the British navy in the sea while returning from Scandinavia by ship. At the end, it was decided to let him return to Berlin, find out what he was trying to accomplish with his activities abroad, and to establish direct contact with him before giving the final verdict<ref name="Britishrole">{{cite book

Bakugan Battle Brawlers (爆丸バトルブローラーズ, Bakugan Batoru Burōrāzu) is an anime series about the lives of Bakugan and the battle brawlers who have the deep power to wield them. Bakugan ("blast circular") is a strategic card game played with magnetic, spring-loaded marbles created by Sega Toys and Spin Master.[1] The series debuted in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 5, 2007.The show had its North American debut in July 2007; 2007 on Teletoon in Canada. The show had its USA debut on Cartoon Network on February 24, 2008. "Bakugan" airs on Fried Dynamite Saturday and Sunday mornings.[2] The show is a co-production from Nelvana Limited, Spin Master, Sega toys,Sega Corporation, TMS Entertainment, and Japan Vistec, the last two of which provide the show's animation.[3]

The program also airs in Australia on Network Ten's Toasted TV and in the United Kingdom on the Cartoon Network.

Characters

Main Characters

 • Dan Kuso: Dan is a 12 year old boy,who is a player of Bakugan.
 • Runo Misaki: At the age of 12, Runo is not your typical pre-teen girl.
 • Marucho Marokuro: He is a wealthy, 11 year old who is generous.
 • Julie Makimoto: She lives near Bakugan Valley.
 • Shun Kazami: He is a strong, silent, cool type 13-year-old.
 • Alice Gehabich: She is a 14-year-old-girl and, the princess of Bakugan from Moscow who doesn't play Bakugan.
 • Masquerade: He used to be the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world, before he left Alice's body.
 • Joe Brown: He is a 12-year-old boy also known as "Webmaster Joe" who created the Bakugan website.
 • Hal-G: The loyal servant of Naga.

Secondary Characters

 • Klaus Van Hertzon: An Aquos attribute Bakugan player.
 • Chan-Lee: The 3rd Ranked Bakugan Brawler in the world who ended up under the control of Masquerade.
 • Julio Santana: The 4th Ranked Haos attribute Bakugan Brawler. He ended up under the control of Masquerade along with Billy, Komba, Chan Lee, and Klaus. He later moves down to 9th place after Masquerade defeated him. His Guardian Bakugan is the Haos- attribute Tentaclear.
 • Komba O'Charlie: 5th Ranked Bakugan Brawler in the world.
 • Billy Gilbert: He is a childhood friend of Julie and 10th Ranked Bakugan Brawler in the world.

Other Characters

 • Christopher: He is a 7 year old Bakugan player that was forced to battle everyday by Travis and he always lost. When Alice has meets with him she then decides to coach him on how to win at Bakugan. He finally battled Travis and won with Alice's help. During the battle, his Juggernoid connected to him and became his Bakugan. He later found that Alice had fainted by a bush. He took her to his house and tried to nurse her until she disappeared. His Guardian Bakugan is the Aquos-attribute Juggernoid.
 • Travis: A nasty 12 year old Bakugan player that forced Christopher to battle him every day and always lost. When Christopher started being coached by Alice, he battled Travis again and lost. After that, Travis wasn't nasty to Christopher anymore and asked to battle again one day. Travis battles with Darkus attributed Bakugan. His Guardian Bakugan is most likely Warrius.
 • Jenny and Jewels: They are two pop stars who use Subterra and Aquos Bakugan. They are also Marucho's idols going by the name JJ Dolls when he is with them.
