No Mercy (2008) will be the eleventh annual No Mercy professional wrestling pay-per-view event held by American promotion, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It will take place on October 5, 2008 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon and will feature talent from the Raw, Smackdown, and ECW brands.[2]

Background

As of September 8, 2008, one professional wrestling match is scheduled on the event's card. This match is planned with a predetermined outcome by WWE's creative staff and will feature wrestlers playing characters for the entertainment of the audience. All wrestlers are from either the Raw, SmackDown, or ECW brands - the three storyline divisions to which WWE assigns its employees.
