WWE roadblock was a wrestling event of the WWE that on the WWE Network aired. It took place on March 12, 2016 at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto , Ontario , Canada .
Nine matches (including two dark matches that were not broadcast) were played at the event. In the main match, Triple H , winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship , defeated his challenger Dean Ambrose . In addition, the Stable The New Day won the WWE Tag Team Championship against Sheamus and King Barrett (from the Stable The League of Nations ), the Tag Team The Revival ( Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson ) won the NXT Tag Team Championship against Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and Charlotte defending the WWE Divas Championship against Natalya . Brock Lesnar also defeated his opponents Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family in a 2-on-1 handicap match .
backgrounds
Roadblock , initially announced as March to WrestleMania: Live from Toronto , featured a series of wrestling matches . These resulted from the storylines that were shown in the weeks leading up to Roadblock on Raw and SmackDown , the two weekly shows of the WWE.
In the February 29, 2016 edition of Raw , Dean Ambrose challenged the winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Triple H to a match for the title at Roadblock . Later that evening, Triple H intervened in the match between Ambroses and Alberto Del Rio and attacked his opponent with his finishing move , the pedigree . He then accepted the challenge before attacking Ambrose again.
On March 2, 2016 was at NXT a match to the NXT Tag Team Championship between the title holders The Revival ( Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson ) and Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady for roadblock set.
At Royal Rumble had Brock Lesnar succession Luke Harper , Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman from Stable The Wyatt Family , eliminated from the same match before the trio returned and again Lesnar eliminated themselves. Then on March 3, 2016 at SmackDown a single match between Lesnar and the leader of the stable Bray Wyatt was scheduled.
At Raw on March 8, 2016, a match between The New Day , carrier of the WWE Tag Team Championship , and Sheamus and King Barrett (from the stable The League of Nations ) was scheduled. This was followed by a fight for the WWE Divas Championship between Charlotte and Natalya on Twitter that same week .

Matches
The event opened with The New Day (represented by Big E and Kofi Kingston ) successfully defending the WWE Tag Team Championship against Sheamus and King Barrett. The match ended with Big E's big ending against Barrett. Next, Chris Jericho met Jack Swagger and was allowed to win by giving up in the Walls of Jericho .
The Revival then successfully defended their NXT Tag Team Championship against Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady after showing the Shatter Machine against Amore.
In the fourth match of the event, Charlotte defeated rival Natalya in the match for the WWE Divas Championship .
The fifth match, originally scheduled as a singles match between Brock Lesnar and Bray Wyatt, was changed at short notice to a 2-on-1 handicap match , which now includes Luke Harper on Wyatt's side. Lesnar won the match after an F5 against Harper.
Then again Sami Zayn met Stardust and won after a Helluva kick .
Main Event
The main event of the show was befitting the match for the highest title of the WWE, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Triple H and Dean Ambrose.
Triple H won the match after Ambrose fell through the commentator's desk and a subsequent pedigree .
