The Conference National is the top division of the Football Conference. It is the fifth highest level of the overall English Football League System. The top team and the winner of the playoff will be promoted to Football League Two, while the bottom four will be relegated to either Conference South or Conference North. For sponsorship reasons, the league is frequently referred to as the Blue Square Premier.
