The 2006 Hockey World Cup for men is the 11th edition of the Hockey World Cup. It will be held from September 6 to September 17, 2006 in Mönchengladbach, Germany.

The pools were composed on June 2, 2006, in accordance to the FIH Worldranking. Pool matches will be played between September 6 and September 13, while classification and the semi-finals will be played on September 15 and September 16. The final will be held on September 17.

The qualification round took place in Changzhou, China from April 12 to April 23, 2006. The final rankings in the tournament are as listed below, with qualifying teams emboldened.
