Winston is a village in County Durham, England.

The nearby bridge over the River Tees once held claim to being the biggest single stone arch bridge in Europe.[2] This bridge was used in the filming of the television serial Piece of Cake, where a Spitfire flew under the bridge.

Winston Gate is a nearby hamlet nearby close to the border with Richmondshire and North Yorkshire.
