Liga Gimel
Liga Gimmel (Hebrew: 'ליגה ג) is the sixth tier of the Israeli football league system. Its name translates as C League.
The league is comprised of six divisions. Previously there had been twelve divisions in the league, but the collapse of many of the teams led to a readjustment of the divisions. Divisions which no longer exist include:
- Liga Gimel Western Galilee Division
- Liga Gimel Bay Area Division
- Liga Gimel Haifa Area division
- Liga Gimel Gush Dan Division
- Liga Gimel Southern Division (merged with Liga Gimel Central Division)
- Liga Gimel Negev Division
The top team from each division is promoted to Liga Bet (the next higher league) at the end of the season. Teams are assigned to their new Liga Bet divisions based on their geographical locations. The bottom two teams from each of Liga Bet's four divisions are demoted to Liga Gimmel at the end of every season.
Northern Divisions
Liga Gimel Upper Galilee and Liga Gimel Western Galilee
The team that finsihes first in each of these two divisions is promoted to Liga Bet Northern 1 Division for the following season, while the bottom two teams from Liga Bet Northern 1 Division are demoted to these leagues.
Liga Gimel Jezreel and Liga Gimel Shomron
The team that finsihes first in each of these two divisions is promoted to Liga Bet Northern 2 Division for the following season, while the bottom two teams from Liga Bet Northern 2 Division are demoted to these leagues.

Liga Gimel Central-South
The Liga Gimel Central-South Division was created as a merger between the Liga Gimel Central Division anf the Liga Gimel Southern Division. The merge was necessary because many of the teams that had competed in the Liga Gimel Southern Division disbanded. The top two teams in this division are promoted to Liga Bet Southern 2 Division for the following season, while the bottom two teams from Liga Bet Southern 2 Division are demoted to this league.
