(1059) Mussorgskia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on July 19 in 1925 by Russian astronomer Vladimir Alexandrovich Albizki the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in simeiz was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the Russian composer Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky .
