(11193) Mérida is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on December 11, 1998 by the Venezuelan astronomer Orlando A. Naranjo at the Observatorio Astronómico Nacional de Llano del Hato ( IAU code 303) near Mérida .

The asteroid was named after Mérida, the capital of the Venezuelan state of Mérida .
