(13130) Dylanthomas is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 12 August 1994 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid was named on January 5, 2015 after the Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas (1914–1953), whose most famous poem Do not go gentle into that good night is often cited as a leitmotif in the science fiction film Interstellar .
