(14041) Dürrenmatt is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 21, 1995 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named on July 26, 2000 after the Swiss writer , playwright and painter Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-1990), who received numerous literary prizes for his work and had worldwide success with the comedies The Visit of the Old Lady and The Physicists .
