(14831) Gentileschi is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 22 January 1987 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( observatory code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid is according to the Italian painter of the Baroque Artemisia Gentileschi named (1593-1653), which is considered bedeutendster female painter its epoch.
