(1564) Srbija is an asteroid in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter . It was discovered on October 15, 1936 by the Serbian astronomer Milorad B. Protić and named after Serbia by him. Its diameter is 22 km. It is classified as a Type X asteroid . With the eccentricity value 0.197, it has a greater eccentricity . The inclination of its orbital plane of about 11 ° is moderate for its size.
On July 24th, 2008 the occultation of the star HD 195313 (TYC 5188-1190-1) by (1564) Srbija in the constellation eagle could be observed in Australia .
