(17625) Joseflada is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 14, 1996 by the Czech astronomers Petr Pravec and Lenka Šarounová at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) in Ondřejov near Prague .

The asteroid was named after the Czech illustrator and children's book author Josef Lada (1887–1957), who was best known for his illustration of the adventures of the good soldier Schweik outside his home country. His children's stories about the hangover Mikesch were filmed in 1964 by the Augsburger Puppenkiste .
