(21811) Burroughs is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 5 October 1999 by the American US astronomer Roy Tucker on Goodricke-Pigott Observatory ( IAU code 683) in Tucson in Arizona was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875–1950), who, in addition to numerous science fiction novels with Tarzan (original title: Tarzan of the Apes ), created the most famous jungle hero in literature.
