(22348) Schmeidler is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 24, 1992 by the German astronomers Freimut Börngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at the Thuringian State Observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033).

The asteroid is named after the German astronomer Felix Schmeidler (1920–2008) who, after completing his doctorate in 1941, worked as an assistant at the Munich University Observatory in Munich-Bogenhausen.
