(3223) Forsius is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 7 September 1942 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.
The name of the asteroid was named in honor of the Finnish-born astronomy professor Aron Sigfrid Forsius .
