(3354) McNair is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 8 February 1984 by Edward LG Bowell was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the American astronaut Ron McNair , who died as a mission expert on the Challenger flight STS-51-L on January 28, 1986. The space shuttle broke up and crashed shortly after takeoff.
