(4676) Uedaseiji is an asteroid of the main belt , of September 16, 1990 by the Japanese amateur astronomers Tetsuya Fujii and Kazuro Watanabe at Kitami Observatory ( IAU code 400) in the Hokkaido Prefecture was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Japanese astronomer Seiji Ueda (* 1952), who discovered more than 700 asteroids with his colleague Hiroshi Kaneda .
