(4825) Ventura is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 11 February 1988 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 809).

The asteroid was named after the city of Ventura , which is the administrative seat of Ventura County in the US state of California .
