(4975) Dohmoto is an asteroid of the main belt , of September 16, 1990 by the Japanese amateur astronomers Tetsuya Fujii and Kazuo Watanabe at Kitami Observatory ( IAU code 400) in the Hokkaido Prefecture was discovered.
The asteroid was named after Yoshio Dōmoto (* 1914), the longtime director of the Asahikawa observatory on the island of Hokkaidō .
