(54) Alexandra is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt , which was discovered on September 10, 1858 by Hermann Mayer Salomon Goldschmidt .
The celestial body was named after the German natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt .
Alexandra has a diameter of 166 km. It has a dark surface typical of C-type asteroids with a geometric albedo of 0.056. It rotates around its own axis in around 7 hours.
