(6417) Liberati is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 4 December 1993 by the Italian astronomer Antonio Vagnozzi at Santa Lucia Stroncone Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 589).
The asteroid was named after Libero Liberati (1926–1962), an Italian motorcycle racer .
