(698) Ernestina is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on March 5, 1910 by the German astronomer Joseph Helffrich in Heidelberg .

The asteroid was named after Ernst Wolf, the son of the astronomer and asteroid discoverer Max Wolf .
