Ákos Kozmor (born February 8, 1988 in Hungary ) is a Hungarian football player on the position of a striker . He currently plays for SV Oberwart in the Burgenland regional league , one of several parallel seasons of the fourth highest level in Austrian football.

Career

Started his career at Haladás Szombathely

Kozmor, who spent a large part of his youth in the offspring of the Haladás Szombathely railway club , was brought into the squad of the professional team that played in the Nemzeti Bajnokság , the highest Hungarian football league, at the age of 15 . There he made his professional debut in the 2003/04 season and played a total of four league games as a substitute until the end of the season. After a total of only three wins from 22 completed championship games, the team rose to last place in the table in the Hungarian second division and Kozmor was returned to the club's own offspring, where he was used again from now on.

In February 2005, Kozmor, who started his career at the age of six at the lower-class Lurkó UFC , surprised the club management and the fans of Haladás Szombathely alike when he said he wanted to leave the club. The main reason was that several Hungarian and foreign clubs have already expressed their interest in the up-and-coming young striker talent. Nevertheless, Kozmor was loyal to the club and played until 2005 mainly in the club's own youth. He was also the top scorer at a Hungarian indoor soccer tournament with the club's professional team in early 2005. While Kozmor was active in the youth team, at the end of the season the professional team was again only on a relegation place within the second Hungarian football division. One escaped relegation only due to the fact that a third division club eligible for promotion renounced its promotion to the Nemzeti Bajnokság II and another club had to take the path to the third division due to licensing problems.

Change to the Hungarian capital

Due to this hopelessness to gain a foothold in the professional field of the club, the young Kozmor moved to Hungary's top football league shortly before the 2005/06 season , where he signed a contract with MTK Budapest . At the capital club, however, the young offensive player could not really assert himself and only made two championship appearances in the entire season. In addition, he was mainly active in the club's second team and among the youngsters. In August 2006, the now 18-year-old finally made a loan move back to the second highest Hungarian league, where he was handed over to the BFC Siófok . There he was used in his first season in 17 championship games, in which he scored three goals. Among other things, he scored both goals on October 14, 2006 in a 2-0 home win over his training club (74th and 79th minute). At the end of the championship he managed with the team direct promotion to the Nemzeti Bajnokság, where he should also come to his missions.

With the BFC Siófok in Nemzeti Bajnokság

After promotion to the highest Hungarian football league, he was also used under Antal Botos for the BFC Siófok in the highest league. He made his team debut for the BFC Siófok in the Nemzeti Bajnokság against his actual parent club, the MTK Budapest. In all of the 14 games that Kozmor played for the team this season, he was used as a substitute, with the exception of one game in which he was on the lawn for the full game. As in his time with Haladás Szombathely and MTK Budapest, he also stayed with BFC Siófok during his time in Hungary's first class without scoring. At the end of the season, Kozmor and the team only narrowly escaped relegation to Nemzeti Bajnokság II and owed this mainly to the weak FC Tatabánya and FC Sopron, who were relegated to 0 points due to licensing problems . After he had just managed to stay up, the young striker returned to his home club, MTK Budapest .

Surprising move to the Austrian lower house

After the lack of success and the low chance of promotion in his home country, Kozmor decided to move to Austria. The surprise was all the greater when he finally found a club in the lower class Austrian and signed a contract with ASKÖ Stinatz , which was then fifth class . In Burgenland , he quickly advanced to a great attacker and was quickly considered one of the best strikers in the II. League South , one of three parallel seasons within the fifth-highest Austrian league in Burgenland. The young Hungarian made his competitive debut for the lower-class team from Stinatz in the first round of the 2008/09 season when he was on the pitch on August 10, 2008 in a 7-0 home win over SC Buchschachen . In the course of the game he and his teammate, the former Austrian regional league player Jochen Keglovits, defeated the team from Buchschachen almost single-handedly by Keglovits scoring four goals and Kozmor contributing the remaining three.

After that, his team had a series of 16 unbeaten games in a row (14 wins; 2 draws), followed by a drop in form from the 18th round. Over the entire season Kozmor was used in all 28 league games as a regular player and ranked with the team at the end of the season with 63 points and one counter from the UFC Markt Allhau in first place in the table. In addition to the championship title of the II. Liga Süd , Kozmor ranked in the league's list of goalscorers with a good lead over the pursuer and former professional footballer Andreas Rosenberger (30 goals; 20 second division games in 1995/96 and 1996/97 for DSV Leoben ) with 35 goals first place. Within his team, he was clearly in first place in front of the two veterans, the former regional league player Jochen Keglovits (13 goals) and the former professional footballer Heimo Jani (12 goals; 14 second division games for ASKÖ Klingenbach in 1994/95 and 1995/96) club's internal goalscorer list.

In the first season after promotion Kozmor remained a regular in the attack line of the Stinatzer, but his hit rate decreased accordingly in the league. In his 26 championship games for the small club, he scored 17 goals and was the club's top scorer. Within the league, together with the later regional league player and strong offensive player Hasan Duman, he finished second on the scorers list. The top scorer was Nihat Güzel, who was also involved in the regional league afterwards, with 21 goals. He celebrated another great success with the team when, after successfully qualifying for Hallesmasters 2010 , an indoor football tournament sponsored by the Burgenland Football Association (BFV), he was allowed to take part in the finals of this tournament. There Kozmor helped his team to their very first title in this competition and with his golden goal in the final against the amateurs of SV Mattersburg was one of the main responsible for the resulting 4-3 success. At the tournament, which was held in January 2010, Kozmor was elected to the All-Star Team , among other things .

Within the Burgenland League in Oberwart

After a successful time at SV Stinatz, in which he scored almost as many goals in 54 league games, Kozmor made another change within the league. This time he went to SV Oberwart in June 2010 , where he signed a better dated contract. To date (as of May 3, 2011), the native Hungarian has played in 19 league games in which he scored seven goals. In the fall of 2010, he was out of play for a period of several rounds, but was then back to normal play relatively quickly.
