Álvaro Alonso , full name Álvaro Darío Alonso Llanes , (born March 25, 1984 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

societies

The 1.84-meter-tall defensive player Alonso was part of the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol at the beginning of his career from 2002 to mid-2006 . From 2004 he was used with the "Aurinegros" in at least 25 games of the Primera División . In early August 2008 he moved within the league to Club Atlético Progreso . In the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons, he played a total of 44 first division games and scored one goal for the club, which is also based in Montevideo. Since the beginning of August 2008 he was in the ranks of the Rampla Juniors , for whom he ran up in 18 first division matches in the 2008/09 season and scored twice. In the Apertura 2009, eleven more premier league appearances followed (one goal). In January 2010, Alonso joined Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy . With the Argentines he completed 22 matches (no goal) in the Primera B Nacional . In early 2011 he returned to the Rampla Juniors and came to 18 other premier league appearances by mid-2012. He succeeded in scoring. In July 2012, the Club Deportivo River Ecuador signed him . He met there at least once in Primera B. From mid-January 2014, he continued his career at Racing Club de Montevideo . After only four premier league appearances without a personal goal in the 2013/14 season, he moved to third-class Uruguay Montevideo FC in early September 2014 . In January 2015 he returned to professional football and began working for the second division club Sportivo Cerrito . After ten appearances (no goal) in the Segunda División in the 2014/15 season and after relegation for a year in the third division, twelve more second division appearances ( one goal) for the "Auriverdes" (German: yellow-green) followed in the 2016 season.

National team

Alonso belonged to the U-17 team of Uruguay , trained by Juan Jacinto Rodríguez , who participated in the U-17 South American Championship in Peru in 2001 and finished in 6th place. In 2003 he was a member of the squad of the Uruguayan U-20 national team at the U-20 South American Championship in 2003 .
