Çamlıbel , formerly Karaböcülü , is a hamlet in the Silifke district of the Turkish province of Mersin . Çamlıbel was a village until 2014 , since a regional reform it has been part of the district center of Silifke.
Çamlıbel is located in the south of the district in the mountainous hinterland north of Silifke. The distance there is about ten kilometers, to the northeastern provincial capital Mersin 75 kilometers. The place lies north of the river Göksu , the ancient Kalykadnos, above the valley of the tributary Kanlı Dere . A country road that leads from Silifke via İmamlı to Uzuncaburç passes Çamlibel after about ten kilometers.
Near Çamlıbel are the ruins of the ancient settlement Karaböcülü , named after the old name of the place, which was inhabited from the late Hellenistic to the early Byzantine period.
