Óscar Rubio Fauria (born May 14, 1984 in Lleida ) is a Spanish football player . The midfielder has been playing for Lleida Esportiu in Segunda División B since summer 2015 .
Player career
Born in Catalonia, Óscar Rubio comes from the youth of UE Lleida from his hometown Lleida . For the 2003/2004 season, the midfielder was loaned to UE Tàrrega from the fourth-class Tercera División . In summer 2004 he returned to his regular club, where he was henceforth a regular player. In the first year, Óscar Rubio and his team still managed to stay up, but in 2005/2006 they were relegated to Segunda División B as fourth from bottom . Rubio also went down a league with his team, but left the club in the summer of 2007 after the unsuccessful immediate promotion and moved to the first division relegated Gimnàstic de Tarragona . After only a year he joined the league rivals FC Elche .
In summer 2010 Rubio moved to Dinamo Bucharest in the Romanian League 1 . There he was used in half of the games and reached the cup final with his club . After just a year he returned to Spain and joined Deportivo Alavés , who played in Segunda División B. With his new team, he was promoted to the Segunda División at the end of the 2012/13 season , where he managed to stay in class in 2014 . He then went back to the Segunda Division B for Cádiz FC . He reached the play-offs for promotion with his team in the 2014/15 season, but missed it. In the summer of 2015 he moved to Lleida Esportiu in his hometown, which also played in Segunda División B. Here, too, he reached the play-offs and narrowly failed again.
