Georg von Zitzewitz
Georg Werner Friedrich Wilhelm Ernst von Zitzewitz (born March 6, 1892 at Gut Muttrin ; † March 20, 1971 in Hanover ) was a German officer , landowner and politician ( DNVP ).

Georg von Zitzewitz was born as the son of the landowner and royal Prussian landscape director Friedrich-Karl von Zitzewitz . After attending grammar school in Stolp and graduating from high school at the Brandenburg Knight Academy , he embarked on an officer career. In 1911 he became a lieutenant in the Cuirassier Regiment "Queen" (Pomeranian) No. 2 in Pasewalk and took part in the First World War as a soldier . In 1919 he left the Reichswehr as Rittmeister .
In the following years Zitzewitz worked as a manor owner in Groß Gansen ( Stolp district ). After the Second World War he moved to West Germany , settled in Kletkamp and worked there as a farmer. Georg von Zitzewitz died on March 20, 1971 in Hanover.
Georg von Zitzewitz had been married since 1919. He had three sons and a daughter.
Political party
Zitzewitz joined the DNVP after the November Revolution and was elected chairman of the German Nationalists in Pomerania . After 1945 he joined the FDP .
MP
Zitzewitz was a member of the Prussian state parliament in 1932/33 . In the Reichstag election in March 1933 , he was elected to the German Reichstag through the black-white-red battle front , to which he belonged until November 1933. In parliament he represented the constituency of Pomerania.
