Ömer Alp Kulga (born January 8, 1989 in Sint-Niklaas ) is a Belgian - Turkish football player .

Career

Belgium and the Netherlands

Ömer Kulga was born in 1989 in the small Belgian town of Sint-Niklaas as the son of Turkish workers. Here he started in the youth of his local club CS Visé with club football.

At CS Visé, the talent scouts from MVV Maastricht noticed him . So he switched to the youth of the Dutch. Here he trained with former well-known players such as Phillip Cocu and Ernest Faber . In 2008 he received a contract and became part of the professional squad. In two seasons he completed 33 league games.

Turkey

In the summer of 2011 he moved to the top Turkish league at Kayserispor . Here he played exclusively for the reserve team.

Without having played a game for Kayserispor, he moved to Orduspor in the spring of 2012 within the league . By the end of the season, he had seven Süper Lig games.

In the summer of 2013 he prematurely terminated his contract, which was still valid for two years, with Orduspor and moved to the second division club Mersin İdman Yurdu .

For the 2013/14 winter break, he signed a contract with the second division club Denizlispor . After the season, he extended his expiring contract for another year until May 2015, which was terminated prematurely in February 2015.

Kulga then signed with league rivals Boluspor . Here he played for a season and then moved to the first division club Osmanlıspor FK . This club loaned him for the first half of the 2015/16 season to the third division club Bugsaşspor and brought him back to the second half .

For the 2016/17 season he moved to his former club Denizlispor .

After two seasons at Denizlispor, Kulga moved to Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor and signed until the end of the 2018/19 season. But after just six months he moved to Tokatspor until the end of the season .

He then joined Ergene Velimeşe SK in summer 2019, but his contract was terminated in December.
