The Eastern Seespitze is 3416  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Stubai Alps . It belongs to the Alpeiner Berge group and is the second highest peak in it after the Ruderhofspitze . In addition, it is the highest point in the ridge that extends from the western peak of the lake to the northeast and separates the Falbeson valley in the southeast from the northwestern Alpeiner valley.

The Alpeiner Kräulferner flowing down on its northern flank gives the Eastern Seespitze a far wilder appearance from this side than from the south.

Bases and climbs

The simplest climbs to the Eastern Seespitze are over glaciers and require appropriate equipment and experience. The normal route from the Neue Regensburger Hütte leads to the summit in four hours. The route initially runs west on the Hochmoosferner and finally in a less difficult block climbing ( UIAA I ) through the southwest flank to the summit. The ascent from the Franz-Senn-Hütte via the Alpeiner Kräulferner is more difficult and one hour longer . The transition to the Western Seespitze is difficult and requires mastering the III at one point . Level of difficulty .
