The KFNB IIa was a superheated steam express train with a tender locomotive of the Kaiser Ferdinands-Nordbahn (KFNB).

The Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory delivered 1,907 pieces of eight two-cylinder - steam -Lokomotiven the type  2C to the KFNB. The machines were designated as series IIa and had the numbers 1001-1008. You should replace the KFNB IId (kkStB 308), as it was too weak for the increasing train weights.

A 2'C1 4v machine was originally planned. However, based on the Prussian model ( P 8 ), it was decided to use a 2C locomotive with a superheater.

Since at that time Austria had little experience with superheated steam machines, there were many operational problems that were gradually resolved.

After the nationalization of the KFNB in ​​1906, the kk Austrian State Railways (kkStB) took over the eight machines and gave them the series designation 111 . However, they have been replaced in their traditional area by the kkStB 210 series . Half of the 111s were then in action in Vienna and half in Prerau .

After the First World War , all eight machines came to the ČSD , which they classified as series 365.1 and which were taken out of service by 1958.
