The kkStB 1.3 were steam railcars of the kk state railways (kkStB).
history
For the Saitz – Czeicz – Göding local railway , the kkStB procured in 1909 from Komarek and the Brünn-Königsfelder Maschinenfabrik , which supplied the wagon construction part, two steam railcars, designated as 1.301–302, similar to the 1.4 series , but with higher performance and a twin engine . The original B1 wheel arrangement did not work.
Due to excessive wear on the wheel flange , the two railcars were converted to the 1B1 wheel arrangement. On this occasion, the water tanks were also enlarged. Nevertheless, the vehicles did not meet the requirements placed on them. A big problem was the poor water quality for steam engines in South Moravia and the inaccessibility of the pipes, which was therefore difficult to clean. Since the railcars could only be used for passenger transport, they also did not correspond to the practice of running mixed trains ( GmP ) at the time.
After the First World War , both vehicles came to ČSD , which they referred to as M 212.001–002, but were retired in 1925.
