İlkay Demir (born January 12, 1987 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
society
Demir was born in the Istanbul district of Kartal and began playing club football as a youth from Pendikspor , the club in the neighboring district. In 2003 he was accepted into the professional squad with a professional contract and played here for the next three seasons. In 2006 he moved to the first division club Denizlispor . After he worked here for one and a half seasons, he spent the second half of the 2007/08 season at the second division Giresunspor . He spent the 2008/09 season without playing at Denizlispor.
In the summer of 2009 he moved to Trabzon Karadenizspor and after half a season to the third division Sakaryaspor . In the second season for this club he succeeded with his team the playoff victory of the TFF 2nd Lig and thus the promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . After losing relegation in the 1st Lig with Sakaryaspor, he left Sakaryaspor for the 2012/13 season and moved to Fethiyespor . At Fethiyespor he only played the first half of the season and spent the second half at Pendikspor .
In the summer of 2013 at the second division club TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor . He left this club during the winter break and moved to the third division Kartalspor .
National team
Demir played three times for the Turkish U-18 national team in 2005 and once for the Turkish U21 national team in 2007 .
