He lived in the Hagen suburb of Quambusch and was discovered by the youth coach Frank Phipps on the soccer field in front of his house. The coach immediately noticed Ishak's extraordinary talent. İshak began playing club football at SV Fortuna Hagen , where Frank Phipps worked as a youth coach. In 2002 the entire team with Frank Phipps changed to the Sportfreunde Geweke up to the C-youth . From 2005, Ishak played for four seasons in the youth teams of SG Wattenscheid 09 .

In 2009 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld II and played here in the NRW League for a year and a half . At the end of the 2009/10 season he and his team were promoted to the regional soccer league . Here he played the first half of the season and only made two appearances during this time.

During the winter break he had an offer from the Turkish first division club MKE Ankaragücü . Doğan accepted the offer and moved to Turkey . Here he became a regular player during the 2011/12 season.

Although Doğan's move to Trabzonspor was considered safe at the end of the 2011/12 season, Dogan reached an agreement with the first division club Kardemir Karabükspor . The transfer to Trabzonspor came about two years later, Doğan moved to the Black Sea for a transfer fee of 1.75 million euros. For the second half of the 2015/16 season Trabzonspor loaned him to league rivals Eskişehirspor .
