The Řasnice (German Rasnitz , also Rasnitzbach ) is a right tributary of the Smědá ( Wittig ) in the Czech Republic .

course

The Řasnice rises in the Jizera Mountains foothills (Frýdlantská pahorkatina) on the northeast slope of the Vyhlídka ( Humrich , 511 m). It initially flows northeast to the Polish border south of Grabiszyce Górne. There the stream changes its course to the southeast and flows through Czech territory again. At the western foot of the Kamenný vrch (443 m), the Řasnice finally turns to the southwest. The forest hoof villages Horní Řasnice , Dolní Řasnice and Krásný Les stretch along its central reaches . On its last section, the Řasnice flows south of the Frýdlantský vrch through the town of Frýdlant and finally flows into the Smědá after 16.3 kilometers .

The Řasnice has no notable tributaries.

Between Frýdlant and Dolní Řasnice, the Frýdlant v Čechách – Jindřichovice pod Smrkem railway runs through the valley of the stream.
