Šamši-Adad IV. (Shamschi-Adad) was from 1054 BC. BC to 1051 BC Chr. Assyrian king.

He was a son of King Tiglath-Pileser I and usurped the throne of his nephew Eriba-Adad II. Before the seizure of power, he had stayed in Karduniaš . After Šamši-Adad's death, Aššur-nâṣir-apli I became king, who founded the 7th dynasty of Aššur.
