Eriba-Adad I.

Erība-Adad I , son of Aššur-bel-nišešu , was a Central Assyrian king who ruled for 27 years according to the Assyrian king list . His name is also included in the synchronistic king list.

He carried the title Viceroy of Aššur ( išši'ak Aššur ) and was governor of Enlil . His royal seal was found in Aššur , there are also brick inscriptions and the founding cylinder of an unknown temple from his reign.

He was a vassal of the Kingdom of Mitanni , but was slowly able to break away from it, which began the period of the Central Assyrian Empire.
