(10000) Myriostus is a Main Belt asteroid discovered by Albert George Wilson at the Palomar Observatory on September 30, 1951 . The asteroid was named after the Greek word for "ten thousand". This is to honor all astronomers who precisely determined the orbits of ten thousand asteroids.
