(10000) Myriostus is a Main Belt asteroid discovered by Albert George Wilson at the Palomar Observatory on September 30, 1951 . The asteroid was named after the Greek word for "ten thousand". This is to honor all astronomers who precisely determined the orbits of ten thousand asteroids. It has also discussed the idea of Pluto the planetoid assign number 10000, but this was rejected and Pluto got the number 134,340th
