(1031) Arctica is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 6. June 1924 by the Russian astronomer Sergei Ivanovich Beliavsky at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in simeiz was discovered.
The name is derived from the northern polar region of the earth, the Arctic .
