(1033) Simona is an asteroid of the main belt , which at 4. September 1924 by the Belgian astronomer George Van Biesbroeck at Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay , Wisconsin was discovered.

The asteroid is named after Simone van Biesbroeck , the discoverer's daughter.
