(1096) Reunerta is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 21st July 1928 by the South African astronomer Harry Edwin Wood in Johannesburg was discovered.
The asteroid is named after a friend of the discoverer, the engineer and supporter of the Union Observatory, Theodore Reunert .
