(11521) Erikson is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 10 April 1991 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid belongs to the Themis family, a group of asteroids named after (24) Themis .
(11521) Erikson was on 23 May 2000 after the German - US-American psychoanalyst Erik Erikson named (1900-1980), by his development of Erikson's stages of psychosocial development was announced.
