(1208) Troilus is an asteroid belonging to the group of Trojans . It is used to describe asteroids that move around the sun on the Lagrange points on Jupiter's orbit . (1208) Troilus is assigned to the Lagrange point L 5 . The asteroid was discovered on December 31, 1931 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth in Heidelberg .

The asteroid was named after Troilos , a legendary figure of the Trojan War .
