(12360) Unilandes is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 22, 1993 by the Venezuelan astronomer Orlando A. Naranjo at the Observatorio Astronómico Nacional de Llano del Hato ( IAU code 303) near Mérida .
The asteroid was named after the Universidad de Los Andes , founded as a seminary in 1785 , one of the most important educational institutions in Venezuela.
