(1407) Lindelof is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 21st November 1936 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.

The name of the asteroid was chosen in honor of the Finnish mathematician Ernst Leonard Lindelöf .
