(15262) ​​Abderhalden is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on October 12, 1990 by the German astronomers Freimut Börngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg .

It was named after the Swiss physiologist and biochemist Emil Abderhalden , who taught at the University of Halle from 1911 to 1945 .
