(1678) Hveen is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 December 1940 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the island of Ven in Öresund, where Tycho Brahe maintained his castle and observatory.
